CBD Crumble Concentrates
CBD Wax, Crumble, Dabs, Extracts
CBD Wax, also known as concentrate, dabs, or dabbable extract, is rapidly growing in popularity, due to the quick delivery method and potency of the extract.
CBD concentrate is a way for connoisseurs of hemp to enjoy the potency, flavors, and nuances of a concentrated, terpene full spectrum extract.
What Is CBD Wax?
CBD Wax is a concentrated version of hemp extract that’s meant to be vaporized, through handheld devices like cartridge based pens, or dabbed in various glass and portable setups. The potency of this extract makes absorbing a large number of cannabinoids over a short period of time, and a small amount of extract, possible and easy.
CBD Wax comes in several forms: Shatter, Butter, Crumble, Live Resin, and many more. The differences in these are based on the texture and form they are extracted. Hemp and cannabis concentrates are half science half art, due to extractors finding new ways to bring about different forms of concentrate over the past 30 years.
How is CBD Wax Made?
Over the last decade, the science behind hemp extraction has improved in leaps and bounds. Through a great deal of devotion, research, experimentation, and creativity, today's hemp extraction is cleaner and more potent than ever.
CBD Wax is made utilizing either the Butane Hash Oil (BHO) Extraction or CO2 extraction (also referred to as Supercritical CO2 Extraction) methods. BHO Extraction uses butane to extract all of the beneficial essential oils in the cannabis plant, including cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. After the butane evaporates through a gentle heating process, a highly concentrated substance remains.
CO2 extraction is a similar process, but it uses pressurized carbon dioxide to pull out the cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. This method is often given a higher preference over the BHO method because any CO2 left after extraction evaporates, leaving a clean and pure CBD Wax product behind.
What is the Difference Between CBD Wax, Crumble, and Shatter?
CBD wax, crumble, and shatter are all varieties of highly-concentrated extractions from the hemp plant. They provide potent applications of CBD, rich with cannabidiol, terpenes, and flavonoids. Each of these varieties can be utilized to create beneficial effects for a range of conditions. By definition, they all fall under the same category of products, but can look and taste different. Extraction artists have long looked for different ways to add texture, bring out terpenes and flavors, and come up with new ways of extracting these massively beneficial compounds. While there is very little difference in the compounds present in these extracts, some users develop personal preferences based on ease of use, handling, etc. We often only carry crumbles, because they are easy to work with. They’re often less messy than waxes or shatters, and can easily be scooped and put into a device to vaporize.
What are the Benefits of Using CBD Wax/Concentrates/Crumble?
At least one study has shown some promise for CBD's pain-relieving effects, and the feedback we've received from people of all ages and all walks of life on the benefits they have enjoyed from CBD products speak for themselves. For decades, cannabis and hemp enthusiasts have devoted their time to finding the optimal way to develop and utilize these compounds because of their potency and quick absorption. These compounds are the same found in the hemp flower, hemp sublingual oils, and hemp based gummies and treats, just highly concentrated. All the benefits you’d receive from those can be found in using these extracts, and it comes down to personal preference of how you want to utilize them for yourself.
How Do I Use CBD Concentrates?
There are several different methods you can employ to utilize CBD Concentrates. It can seem overwhelming when looking at these techniques from a scientific perspective. Still, once you understand the process and procure the necessary equipment, it becomes smooth and accessible for almost anyone!
Dabbing is the most popular way to consume CBD Wax/Crumble; technically, what happens is the flash vaporization of the CBD concentrate. This process allows the CBD Wax to be immediately inhaled and immediately starts working its magic with the endocannabinoid system. To dab, you will need what's known as a dab rig, which includes the nail, which is usually made of ceramic, glass, quartz or titanium. The nail is heated like a blowtorch, cooled to a desired temperature and when CBD Concentrate is applied, it allows flash vaporization to occur through a glass pipe or otherwise.
As technology has advanced, we’ve found ways to make dab rigs portable. Check out our APX Volt, a portable electronic device that allows easy loading of crumble into a quartz chamber or bucket. With buttons to activate lower and higher vaporization temperatures, you can find the perfect temperature to produce the amount of vapor you desire. Simply take off the mouthpiece, use the complimentary dabber (think of this as the metal Although experienced dabbers typically prefer to have a glass set up for home use, we prefer having an electronic and portable version to take on the go, and dab anytime!
